FAQs

• Do I need to register?
Registration is required to post comments on the discussion board, answer survey questions, and to ‘register’ your support for open systems and greater DealerChoice.  You do not need to register your real name, but you do need to register your real email address.

• Will other users see my name or my email address?
Only if you want them to.  During the registration process you will create a user name that does not have to be real, and you choose if you want your email address visible to other registered users.  You can change this at anytime, except for user name, by modifying your profile.

• How do I change my profile?
As a registered user you may modify your user profile at any time.  Select the My Profile link on the left hand navigation, and enter your username and password.  This will show your current profile and allow you to change and save any settings. You will be prompted to sign in again with your new password immediately after saving your change.

• What if I can’t remember my username and/or password?
We can send your username and password to the email address you have registered with the site.  Select the My Profile link on the left hand navigation, and then select the Click Here to receive your password by email.  You will then be prompted to enter your email address.

• Can I edit or delete a post?
Yes, you can edit and delete your own posts.  Click your mouse over the subject line of the post you wish to edit/delete, and a drop down menu will display.  Select what you the action you wish to take from this menu.

• Can I attach a file to a post?
For security reasons, you may not attach any files to your posts.  You can cut and paste text into your posts, and you may include hyperlinks to other web content.

• What do you mean by “I support dealer choice” during registration?
This is a way for you to log your support for open systems.  Choose this if you believe a competitive business systems market will benefit your dealership, and you want your franchise OEM to maintain or establish open integrations.
